Ivana, Alexandru Dragoş

Institut zur Erforschung und Förderung österreichischer und internationaler Literaturprozesse

Ivana, Alexandru Dragoş, teaching assistant in the English Department of the University of Bucharest.

His main research interests include Enlightenment and Victorian literature, cultural and literary theory, comparative literature, history of ideas and mentalities. He is now completing his PhD dissertation entitled The Battle for Reason: Eighteenth-Century English Quixotism between Political Discourse and Moral Reform.

He has published extensively in reputed Romanian cultural magazines and participated in numerous conferences both in Romania and abroad. Currently, he is treasurer of ASSOR (Romanian Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies) and a founding member of the Centre of Excellence for the Study of Cultural Identity accredited by the University of Bucharest.

In January 2006, he obtained a Training Certificate issued by the Directorate General for Interpretation with the European Commission.
