Luraghi, Silvia. Born 1958. Associate professor of General and Historical Linguistics (Glottologia e Lingustica) at the Università di Pavia.

1978-1982 Università di Torino, Classics major.  Main areas of study: Greek, Latin, Biblical Hebrew, Sanskrit, History of Ancient Middle East, Indo-European Linguistics. Degree: Laurea in Lettere, 1982 (Master in Classics); title of master thesis: The system of cases and prepositions in Ancient Greek (in Italian). 1982-1983.  Fulbright Fellowship. Memberships: Società Italiana di Glottologia, Societas Linguistica Europaea , Association for Linguistic Typology. Member of the Italian Association of Music Critics. Member of the National Guild of Italian Journalists, and writer for several Italian and American publications on classical music (L’Opera, Classic Voice, Opera News, Amadeus, Vogue Italia, Oltre). Publications: 12 books and many articles and reviews.
