Nichols, Roger L.
Nichols, Roger L.: born in 1933. Professor of American history at the University of Arizona, USA. Central interests focus on American frontier settlement including exploration, town founding and social development. The most recent of his fourteen books explore issues of ethnicity, immigration and Indian affairs. These include: Natives and Strangers (Oxford, 2003), American Indians in U. S. History (Oklahoma, 2003) and Geschichte der Indianer in den Vereinigten Staaten und Kanada (Mundus, 2005). Fulbright senior scholar at the universities of Halle (1997) and Köln (2003-04) in Germany.
