Nizegorodcew, Anna: Ph.D. 1965: MA English Studies, 1972: MA psychology, 1979: PH.D, 1992: Habilitation at Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland. Since 1975:  professor at Department of English Studies, Jagiellonian University and since 1998 professor at Centre for Foreign Teacher Training and European Education of Warsaw University, Warsaw.
1990 – 1997: Head of Jagiellonian University Foreign Language Teacher Training College. 1980-1981 and since 2002: Head of Methods of Teaching English Section of the Department of English Studies at the Jagiellonian University. Since 2004: Vice-President of the Polish Neophilological Society.
January- May 1995: Department of Second Language Acquisition and Learning  – New York State University at Buffalo, United States.
