Research Interests: Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, Forensic Linguistics/Legal Discourse(Language and the Law), Political Discourse, Applied Linguistics, Linguistic Anthropology. Nigeria’s Representative of CLARITY (an international association promoting plain legal language www.clarity-international.net ). President/Founder, Plain Language Initiative in Nigeria (yet to be registered). Membership: International Linguistics Association(ILA), International Association of Forensic Linguistics( IAFL), American Studies Association of Nigeria( ASAN).
