Rotanova, Irina N., PhD in Geography (1996), associate professor in Cartography (2004) at the Geographical Faculty of Altai University (Russia). Head of Labor of Ecologo-geographical Mapping, Instiute of Institute for Water and Environmental Problems, Siberian Branch /Russian Academy of Science, Barnaul, Russia. Member of the ICA Commission on Theoretical Cartography (2002).
Research interests: ecological cartography, GIS, theoretical and thematical cartography. Irina N. Rotanova has more than 400 scientific works including 7 monographs and textbooks published in Russia and abroad (Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Kazakhstan, Moldavia, Mongolia, the Netherlands, the Ukraine, Finland, Chili). She delivers lectures in the Universities of Barnaul, Gorno-Altaisk, Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk.
