ABSTRACT: This section will deal with the different aspects
of translation from the point of view of transmitting the cultural
context. Besides the issues which arise through the culturems
in the original text, it will be discussed if culture may get
lost through translations or not. As a direct consequence, it
will be also dealt, using examples, with the possibility or the
impossibility of translating poems.
We welcome contributions in the three conference languages but,
if necessary, we might include other languages, which is certainly
necessary bwhile giving examples.
