Bembe, Princess holds a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Johannesburg, in South Africa. Currently, she teaches African literature modules as well as Themes in English language studies (including the history of English and English in the South African context) in the Department of English Studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA). Her research interests are in youth languages, youth culture and identity, multilingualism, as well as African literature.
