Chiorean, Luminita – TRANS

Chiorean, Luminita, Ph.D., University Lecturer at the “Petru Maior” University of Târgu-Mures, Romania. She gives courses on Romanian contemporary language, Stylistics and Poetics. She has given lectures in Versailles, France (2004) and in Liege, Belgium (2007). She is also interested in “Hip-Hop” Culture, especially graffiti.

She has published about 50 articles and studies in poetics, semiotics, Romanian language, communication studies in specialized journals, collective volumes, and conference proceedings, both in Romania and abroad (Canada, Germany, Bulgaria). So far she has published the books:

Limba română. Gramatică normativă (The Romanian Language. A Normative Grammar), Cluj-Napoca 2003;
Arhitectura eseului poetic stănescian (The Architecture of Stanescu’s Poetical Esssay), Târgu-Mureş 2006;
Eseul stănescian. Configurare poetică (Stanescu’s Essay: A Poetical Configuration), Târgu-Mureş, 2007.
Presently, she is working at a book on Discurs şi imagine publicitară în România post-comunistă (Discourse and Publicity Image in Post-communist Romania).
