El-Attar, Eman, Assistant professor of modern drama, Depart of English, Sohag University, Egypt & a visiting assistant professor at the Depart of English, College of Basic Education, PAAET, Kuwait (2005 to present). MA thesis was entitled: Henrik Ibsen”s Influence on Arthur Miller’s Drama. Ph.D.thesis was entitled: The Use of Irony As A Vehicle for Social Criticism in The Major Plays of Edward Albee. Besides courses of modern literature and drama, Dr. El Attar is also interested in literary translation and cultural studies.
Her forthcoming research works are:
- The Doll’s House moves to Cairo in 2006: transforming the Norwegian masterpiece into an Egyptian context,
- The Quest for Rage in Adrienne Kennedy’s Funny House of A Negro,
- Deconstruction Unbound: The drive toward a theatre of deconstruction in Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot and Rockaby
