He has been volunteering at local shelters (Paws in Malaysia, R.S.P.C.A. in Melbourne-Australia), during his secondary and tertiary education, which later led to seeing practice at the Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital-Singapore and the Veterinary Hospital of the Singapore Zoological Gardens in the mid-to-late nineties.
During his veterinary studies, he was involved in the International Veterinary Students‘ Association, which allowed him to be exposed to the much veterinary practice in Europe (Royal Veterinary College in Hertfordshire-U.K., Vienna Zoo in Austria, farm practice in Denmark).
He was involved in the local cat clubs in Malaysia, and have had shown interest in the show rings and was involved with sight hounds in 2006. He has attended the Festival of the Saluki in the U.K. in 2007 and the Saluki World Congress in Mustiala, Finland in 2008.
