Jovanović, Gordana

Jovanović, Gordana: graduated from Belgrade University, Department of Psychology, where she earned also her M.A. and PhD. degree. Alexander von Humboldt research fellow at the University of Frankfurt on Main (Germany) 1984, 1985 and 1989. In 1999 she was awarded a British Psychological Society fellowship. Currently she is Associate Professor of General Psychology and Personality Theories at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. Formerly she was lecturer in Contemporary Schools in Psychology and research assistant in Developmental Psychology. Her main interests are in the philosophical background of psychology, in the socio – historical development of psychology, in psychoanalytic theory, and semiotics. She has published in German and English in various journals and books. Publications: Simbolizovanje i racionalnost (Belgrade 1984, Symbolization and Rationality). Frojd i moderna subjektivnost (Novi Sad, Belgrade1997; Freud and Modern Subjectivity).
