Lai, On-Kwok – TRANS

Lai, On-Kwok, Prof.Dr., is at Graduate School of Policy Studies, Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan, honorary professorship in Social Policy and fellowship in Urban Planning at The University of Hong Kong, Visiting Professor, United Nations University – Institute of Advanced Studies (UNU-IAS). Graduated from The University of Hong Kong (B.Soc.Sc., M.Soc.Sc.), and University of Breman (Dr.rer.pol.), Germany with DAAD fellowship; he has taught/researched in Germany, China and New Zealand. He publishes over 100 journal papers and book-chapters on environmental, social and urban issues and policy in Asia and Europe, and has been invited as speaker for conferences of UNESCO, UNU-IAS and WHO. His recent research is on: social development issues of information society and globalization.
