Orosz, Magdolna

Orosz, Magdolna – professor (tenured) at the Institute for Germanic Studies (Dept. for German Literature) at Eötvös-Loránd-University Budapest. Her research interests concern theories of narratology, intertextuality, intermediality, literary semiotics as well as the history of German Literature (German Romanticism, E.T.A. Hoffmann; German and Hungarian Literature of the turn of 20th century), and German-Hungarian Comparative Studies. She has published 5 monographies, about 140 articles in journals and collective volumes, edited/co-edited 17 books, is the series editor of „Budapester Studien zur literaturwissenschaft” by Peter Lang Publishers and of “Mű-helyek” by Gondolat in Budapest. She is President of the Association of Hungarian Germanists, founding member and board member of the Hungarian Association for Semiotics, she is (with Vilmos Voigt) national representative of Hungary to the Executive Comittee of the International Association for Semiotic Studies IASS-AIS, 1994-2004 she was elected member of the board of the IASS-AIS.
