Suteanu, Cristian – TRANS

Suteanu, Cristian is an Associate Professor of Geography and Environmental Science at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada. He holds a Ph.D. in “Physics of Earth Processes” (Romanian Academy) and an M.Phil. in “Philosophy of Culture” (University of Bucharest). His main research and teaching interests concern information processes involved in environmental systems and human-environment relations. Cristian’s research topics include nonlinear systems analysis and modelling, space-time patterns of environmental change and natural hazards, as well as evolving processes of meaning in geoscience, ecosemiotics, and complexity theory, along with some of their implications for education, shifting worldviews, and our approaches to information management.
