Theodoropoulou, Irene is a PhD candidate at King’s College London working on Modern Greek speech style and its relationship with social class construction. Her research interests include Sociolinguistics and Discourse Analysis. She holds a BA (summa cum laude) in Greek Philology from the University of Athens and an MPhil. in English and Applied Linguistics from the University of Cambridge. She has presented her work in numerous conferences, such as the Georgetown Round Table on Languages and Linguistics 2007, the 11th International Conference on Dialogue Analysis, and the 8th International Conference on Greek Linguistics. She has co-edited the Proceedings of the CamLing 2006.
