Unger, Nikolaus: born in New York (USA). Completed his BA in History and German at Iona College and MA by Research at the University of Warwick in the UK (title: The Man from the Day After Tomorrow and the World of Yesterday: A Case Study of the Evolution of Modern Austrian Identity from Königgrätz to World War One in Austrian German Intellectual Thought). Nikolaus Unger recently completed his PhD in History at the University of Warwick, entitled Today, Tomorrow…and Yesterday? Modern Austrian Identity and the Case of Hermann Bahr and Stefan Zweig (2008). The dissertation is the culmination of extensive research conducted in Austria and Great Britain. He is currently teaching in the New York metropolitan area and conducting independent research.
