Vyshkin, Euphym G., Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Head of Department of Linguistics and Cross-Cultural Communication of Samara State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Graduated from Kuibyshev Pedagogical Institute in 1971. The first doctoral degree (candidate of science) in 1982 for the thesis “The theory of Word by A. Potebnya and Problems of Modern Lexical Semantics”, the second one in 1999 for the thesis “Metatheory as Method of Linguistic Knowledge Systematizing (both at Saratov State University). Specializes in the history and methodology of linguistics, semantics and pragmatics of the language.

Author of about a hundred works, among which monographs “Problems of Linguistic Knowledge Systematizing”, published by Samara State University Press in 1992, “Principles of Metatheoretical Presentation and their Application to the Modern Linguistics Problems”, 1998; “The Language of the Law. Discursive Aspect” (with V.M. Savitkiy), 2006 (both by Samara State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering).
