Yevarouski, Valery is the Head of Department of the Belarusian Philosophical, Social and Political Thought at the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In 1985, he graduated from Belarusian State University where he specialized in sociology and social philosophy. In 1992, he graduated from the PhD program at the History of Philosophy Department of the Institute of Philosophy and Law (thesis: “Philosophical ideas of Kievan Rus. Formation Tendencies”). His research interests cover methodology of history and philosophy; cognitive configurations of East Europe, intelligentsia as sociocultural phenomenon, history of Kievan Rus’ philosophy, and the intellectual history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
