INST Projects

After the founding of the organization on 14 November 1994, the INST Projects concentrated on utilizing the new possibilities of communication (Internet) to develop a new methodology, a new understanding of the material and a new application of multilingualism (Encyclopedia of Multilingual Cultural Studies) and to apply the results.

The highpoint of INST activities to date has been the project "The Unifying Aspects of Cultures" (2000 to 2003), in which approximately 4000 scholars, artists, pedagogues, politicians, etc. from more than 70 countries took part.

Since 2004 the focus has been on analyzing the new importance of knowledge in social processes (see VUNW Project - Virtuality and New Structures of Knowledge), to present the results verbally (IRICS Conference: Innovations and Reproductions in Cultures and Societies) and visually (exhibit, virtual presentation, publication [book + CD with contributions + DVD with documentary film]) as well as to display them in October 2006 at the Book Fair in Frankfurt am Main.
