Publications and Documentations

As for the projects "The Unifying Aspects of Cultures" und "Innovations and Reproductions in Cultures and Societies" we again envisage a publication. It will consist of a hardcover book (plenary contributions, reports from the sections, the table of contents of TRANS 17 etc.), a DVD (film documentations of the project) and a CD-ROM (all contributions in TRANS 17 as part of the INST-Homepage). This documentation consisting of three parts will again be presented worldwide (see the presentations of the previous projects under: http://www.inst.at/termine/wien_frankfurt2004.htm and http://www.inst.at/terime/20062007).

The book will be edited by the section leaders in co-operation with an editorial collective, which will consist of the co-ordinator (Wiss. Dir. Dr. Herbert Arlt) and the editors (German: Univ.Prof.Dr. Kurt Bartsch, Wiss.Dir.Dr. Herbert Arlt, Univ.Prof.Dr. Ulf Birbaumer, English: Univ. Prof. Dr. Peter Horn, Univ. Prof. Dr. Donald G. Daviau, French: Univ. Prof. Dr. Gertrude Durusoy). All those involved in editing will be listed on the back of the book as well as in the ISBN register as co-editors.

The internet journal "TRANS" is a "reviewed journal". It is archived by the Austrian National Library and is referenced by many bibliographies. At the beginning of 2006 TRANS had more than 100.000 unique users (and these numbers have constantly increased by leaps and bounds since 1996). Since the contributions are archived every two years on the CD-ROM of an INST-documentation, these contributions are recognized by Literar Mechana as well as VG Wort for royalties. The reference to cite is in each case the CD.

Contributions for the conference "Knowledge, creativity and social transformations" will be accepted by the section leaders from December 2007, and only they can submit them to the coordinator; they will then be published in TRANS 17. Contributions to be considered for the CD-ROM will only be accepted before the 31.5.2008, contributions for TRANS can, however, be submitted at any time. If you do not keep to the deadlines the publication of your contribution can be delayed considerably.

You can find guidelines for the writing of your contributions on the start page of TRANS: http://www.inst.at/trans/transstyle_e.htm Short biographies are published on the index page of the INST-Homepage: http://www.inst.at/english/bio.htm This short biography shows and links to all contribution on the INST-Homepage as well as the INST book series. The short biographies can only be updated at the time of a conference.
