ABSTRACT:
In today’s world of revitalization, reclamation and renewal of Indigenous methodologies and knowledge, the development of Indigenous diplomacy is a critical subject for globalization. Through a practical approach, Indigenous diplomacy bridges the gap between young, innovative and professional and Indigenous and non-Indigenous students concerned with justice within transformation of international law and diplomacy. This article explores the Young Professionals International project development of the themes of Indigenous Diplomacy. The Young Professionals International, as an education programme implemented by the Native Law Centre of Canada and supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, captures the inter-relation and challenges to not simply adjust state and public diplomacy, but to transform its very nature.
