ABSTRACT:
A Minimalist Account of Rationality despite its philosophical significance, a clear account of rationality has remained rather elusive. This paper attempts to make some progress towards remedying this by reflecting on the relationship between four distinct but related concepts: reason, reasons, rationality and irrationality. More specifically, it enumerates a minimalist account of rationality as one element among the complex landscape of reason in virtue of which agents are able to recognize and respond to the reason that there are.
