ABSTRACT:
Caricatures have always constituted a reliable image of the context a community lives in the fact that it uses irony as a way of expression does not reduce its importance as to the depth of the message conveyed and the people’s attitudes and reactions to the different events that may be of importance for them. The case of caricatures relating to Tamazight question in general and the Kabyle one in particular deserves some observation. It is that they are different from other Algerian caricatures, but they display at times the specificities that characterise the Kabyle community in the one hand, and its treatment by the different actors of the Algerian managerial life. Thus, through some caricatures by the well known A. Dilem, but also by others who less known, I intend to throw a glance on how the economic, linguistic and identity question of Tamazight is conceived through caricatures.
