ABSTRACT:
Technical opportunities and social processes which promote formation and distribution of cultures, have extended during epoch of digital technologies. There is a necessity for specification of terms with the advent of new elements and the ethical moment of cultural consumption.
The main consumer of new culture is the new generation which takes existing materials as a basis for own works for remixes. The network incorporated through the Internet allows cooperation both amateur, and the professional writing fraternity which usually do not meet each other in real life. The reader actively changes the content of media, altering it for own consumption. Alteration occurs both to literarure and musical culture, bringing creation of two closed forms as remix culture and fan fiction. New type of migration of cultures has technical pluses for distribution for cultures. But which ethical moments arise, when music, the image or a history wanders from one culture in another or in subcultures, giving wide opportunity for creation of the culture through using of an intellectual heritage of another's cultures results?
Or: how to save authors of non-fiction from falsification of realities? These ethic problems became obvious using opportunities of Internet from distribution of literary texts from classics up to our contemporaries. New opportunities of media, arts and cultures have appeared at transition to new forms of distribution which assume not only the technical, but also not less important ethical aspect of consumption of this culture which began one of priority questions.
Taking into consideration new possibilities of technique, it is obvious the necessity to redefine the content of some terms. Some of them became changeable starting from traditional and canonical for the first sight “nation” or “literarure”. From other side appear new forms of culture as fan fiction, remix culture, network culture, hybrid media.
- Network culture–convergence culture–hybrid media is a connection of various kinds of art and culture (verbal, in a format of cinema, as TV, radio, the newspaper form) in single space – in the memory and on the screen of computer.
- New genres as blog and Internet forums, new forms of distribution as audiocast, broadcast, files’ verbal and visual reproduction, became popular for distribution not only for music, but also conference and discussions sources. Some of them are available free and some through the Internet-subscription.
- New forms of culture enable listen to comments for museums exhibits, an opportunity simultaneously to listen to the description text through earphones.
- Viewing of film with subtitles with an opportunity to switch the language both verbal and written text (subtitle).
Thus there is a hybridization of forms of art and culture - literature, cinema, folklore on an example fan fiction and blogging – convergence culture, incorporated in the network, so or network culture.
