ABSTRACT:

The paper will address the question of social transformation in the light of the philosophical ideas of invention and change. I will read Kierkegaard’s notion of repetition in the light of Baudrillard’s vision of reality as “simulacrum”, trying to show the ways in which social transformation can be a reflected and affected by philosophical speculation.
